The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the daily routines and physical development of children around the world. This study investigates the effects of the pandemic on the gross motor skills of children aged 6 to 8 years at the CEDID Ciudad Bolívar School, C Tanque Laguna. Using a mixed approach, the quantification of motor skills is combined using the MetriChek test: evaluation of gross motor skills and perceptions of healthy habits through student surveys. The results reveal that, despite the interruptions caused by the pandemic, most children maintain adequate levels of gross motor skills, although with significant variations influenced by changes in lifestyle habits and physical activity. However, the study also highlights the lack of knowledge and preparation among parents and educators regarding emerging challenges in children's physical health and habits. This report proposes targeted interventions to improve physical activity and general well-being in the post-pandemic context.
