The tuberculosis is an infectious-contagious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, its presence was related in the past with high mortality, however, advances in therapeutics and improvement in living conditions made the disease susceptible to control and that death can be avoided. Course objective: To determine which factors affect adherence to the pharmacological treatment of Tuberculosis in two municipalities in the center of Valle del Cauca in 2019. Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional study through the application of a survey It was carried out on 12 patients with the diagnosis of tuberculosis in two municipalities in the center of Valle del Cauca in 2019. Results: 12 patients with tuberculosis were interviewed. Regarding compliance with the pharmacological treatment of the patients, the result that 50% is adherent, the male gender is predominant with 66.7%, in relation to age, 83.3% of the adherent patients were older than 50 years; It was possible to identify that 91.7% of the patients considered that the quantity of medications to be taken is large and that 33.3% did not know the undesired effects of the medications, of these patients 25% had failed treatment Previously, 100% of the patients received all of their medication and 75% felt motivated to comply with the treatment. Conclusions: there is no specific factor that favors adherence, but it can be concluded that personal factors are ultimately the ones that generated the most positive influence in adherent patients.
