The article deals with the environmental problems evidenced by the increase in tourists in the Cocora Valley and aims to mark a position related to the need to resort to the environmental guiding principle of precaution, a recent principle of environmental law aimed at avoiding serious and irreversible damage that the environment may suffer, imposing preventive measures in those events where there is no certainty about the impact that the development of an activity may cause on natural resources.
