The aim of the present document it is to identify in the academic production of last ten years, the current condition of Cytohistotechnology career, describing the trends of formation of Cytotechnologies, Histotechnologies, Cytohistotechnologies, worldwide, regionally and nationally; as well as, the functions that they recover in professional contexts, the competitions that must develop in the productive sectors and the problems that are confronted from the discipline depending on the new challenges that stem from the advances in the technologies.
