This article exposes the historical construction of university teaching postgraduate program - EDU (in its initials in spanish) - in the University Foundation of Health Sciences - FUCS-. The article regards the institutional evaluation process in a reflexive fashion, process that has been developed since the beginning of the postgraduate program until 2017. It is used the Critical Analysis Methodology from an investigative process named systematization. The process of university institutional evaluation has been conceived from a technocratic dynamic, which works with the logic of bureaucracy; for that reason the process has been prescriptive, regulatory and instrumental, as the evaluation just in a measurement. This exercise proposes thinking in other concept for the evaluation, as a process with a humanistic and formative sense, that produces knowledge throughout researching, observation and social dialogue. Recovering the memory allows to get close, internalize reality, to act over it and transform it.
