The problem solving ability is a challenge that subjects deal with independently, that is why a school technology activity (ATE) was designed with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach was designed, this pedagogical proposal takes as an excuse the elaboration of a didactic toy through the technique of the paper Bomb, representing animals in danger of extinction of the Colombian fauna, which was applied in the school Santa Lucía IED (Educational District Institution) 22 seventh grade students, to solve situations relating to Mathematics, Biology, and Technology. The deepening study takes up the ATE elaborated in previous work, the methodology that was implemented is of mixed type, which implements the mixed-type methodology, using three instruments of information collection: the test of Min Basadur characterizing the creative way as subjects face when solving situations, a field journal where the development of the implemented phases of the ATE is recorded describing the findings and a test sheet adapting the challenges with the proposal of Polya (1982) for the solution of problems.. The results of the instruments were analyzed in order to validate the effect of the ATE on the development of this ability.
