One of these guidelines aims to "integrate functions through research, creation and innovation for the application of knowledge as a public good and for the solution of problems of the city region and the city in general" (UDISTRITAL, 2018), by means of programs and projects in each of the faculties of the university. That is why the following project intends to expose the feasibility for the creation of a Fab Lab in the Francisco José Caldas District University, Technology Faculty, which coincides with the stipulated strategies in the strategic plan of the University and the policy of science, technology and innovation of the Colombian government (Conpes 3582), taking advantage of the resources of infrastructure, human resources and machinery available in the Faculty of Technology. Additionally, it intends to evaluate the social, environmental, political and economic factors that influence the possible creation of a Fab Lab in the Technological Faculty, considering that it is located in one of the most vulnerable localities of the Colombian capital, such as the town of Ciudad Bolívar, taking into account that innovation and entrepreneurship are characteristic of the Fab Lab's, allow the creation of goods and services with high technological level, generating economic and social development of the local community, university and the country in general.
