This document presents the model of optimal location and sizing of photovoltaic generators in AC power systems considering reactive power injection, whose structure is non-linear whole mixed (MINLP). The GAMS software with the ONMIN optimization package is used as a computational tool to solve this proposed model. Three electrical power systems are proposed for the implementation of this model, five scenarios are proposed; the first without the inclusion of photovoltaic generators and the rest for each addition of generators up to four; one is presented where reactive power injection is not considered. The results show that energy losses are reduced by 13-62 % as photovoltaic generators and the proposed system are added, and the voltage profile is improved.
