The UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) has satisfied the necessity of maintain electricity when the commercial grid presents problems. Private companies and governmental institutions use the UPS in its servers, so they can avoid reduction in the production due to possible blackouts, and in hospitals is always necessary to keep equipment running to serve patients 24/7. It is the reason the use of batteries has become one of the most important components in any industry. Currently VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries (12V 7Ah) are the most commonly use, then if a battery were to be wrongly diagnose by a technician, the UPS would not work, causing the shutting down of any equipment running under it. In this article it is going to be shown the device procedure to analyze the SOH (State of Health) or battery life status, especially for VRLA 12V 7Ah batteries. It is going to be done with a download method using a Shunt. The Shunt will send the data to digitalize it, thus using the information to do a report of the SOH.
