The present investigation investigated management processes that the Mesa Ambiental de Cerros Orientales (MACO) lived during the project “Sendero Mariposas”. Methodologically, the research was positioned in the interpretive paradigm, using Content Analysis as a method to account, first, of the Territory approach conceived by the MACO and, second, the dimensions of territorial management that the MACO mobilized during the project; a documentary analysis of texts published by the MACO and journalistic sources that followed the process. There was a predominance of elements of a participatory democratic nature, the strong search for intersectoral links, among others, in the dynamics of territorial management; in addition to a strong cohesion of the community in the construction of meanings, alluding to the ethological-humanist territory approach. The approach to these dynamics was constituted in an opportunity to glimpse the processes and tension of the territorial management in the capital of the country.
