The Bogotá Botanical Garden "José Celestino Mutis" (JBB) is a center for research, conservation and preservation of the Andean and high Andean ecosystems. It is made up of three subdivisions, one of them the Educational and Cultural Subdirectorate where the internship, taking place in the Salitre - Torca basin. The internship focused on technical support to the professional of the different environmental education processes. Educational pieces were proposed and developed to strengthen adjusted non-formal education processes to the topics of interest to the basin. Accompanied by this, talks and support were held in activities aimed at strengthening knowledge, accompanied by field work (plantations, tours and workshops on urban agriculture). Finally, the impact generated by said trainings on the intervened population was determined in order to have an approximation of their effectiveness. To do this, the results of the PRE and POST questionnaires applied to the intervened populations were compared with an analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Spearman's correlation tests. During the three months of development of the internship, technical and pedagogical support was provided in different sessions, talks, trainings and workshops proposed by the field professional. During this period, a total of 750 people from the localities where the internship was developed (Suba and Usaquén) were trained. Two methodological proposals were developed - "The farmer" and "Test yourself" - that will reinforce the Urban Agriculture workshop. The ANOVA analysis suggested that JBB non-formal education positively impacts different populations, although not conclusively; in general, an increase of 0.404 is achieved in the final result that accounts for what has been learned.
