The purpose of this research was to reveal and understand the social representations (SR) that teachers from the city of Bogotá have built about young schoolchildren and the repercussions that these have on the practices and interpersonal relationships that are experienced in the daily school life; in such a way that the content of the representation is analyzed and interpreted in its dimensions of attitude, information, and field of representation. An analysis is made of the conditions of teachers and the meaning they give to their practices, of the impact that the school has on the social construction of young people.
