This research is based on an analysis of two works by Luis Enrique Osorio - Paro Femenino (1949) and El zar de Precios (1951) - which seeks to show how the comedies of this author, and even more, the female characters within These depict snippets of the context and the society in which he lived, thus, with greater importance, to inquire about the place of women in the first half of the twentieth century.
