Environmental conflicts have been a topic of international and national interest for some time due to the different agreements signed in favor of conservation, protection and reparation of environmental damage caused by the development of extractive activities, the term environmental conflict is one of the greatest efforts to understand the causes, problems and interdisciplinary nature of the environmental problems that humanity is going through today, For this reason and with the intention of strengthening the holistic view in the approach to environmental problems in the country, we opted for the approach and investigation of the current situation of the mangrove ecosystem and how the phenomenon of displacement becomes one more of the pressures affecting the ecosystem, However, the approach from a historical overview of the conflictive aspects, the phenomenon of displacement and the degradation of the mangrove, will show that although it is true that there are pressures due to this phenomenon, it is actually the armed conflict and its different causes and consequences that end up directly degrading the ecosystem. These findings will be possible through the application of the Vester matrix, the design of cartography and the investigation of secondary sources regarding the productive process of the most impacting activity, which in this case is the illicit cultivation of coca. Finally, in order to support the processes of visibilization and change of perspectives from other parts of the country regarding this municipality, a literary tool is built to compile in a story the historical path of the degradation of the mangrove ecosystem due to environmental conflicts.
