For insulation coordination, the normalized insulation voltages that standardize the IEC 60071 and IEC 60072-1 standards in their latest updated versions must be known. A correct choice of these insulation voltages makes the power system reliable, which allows a decrease in power service interruptions used by internal or external overvoltages to the system. In order to provide a tool for students and teachers of electrical engineering, applications must be made that allow understanding the operation of this type of process for an interpretation, understanding and analysis allowing an adequate application in their academic and professional field. This document presents the development of a software in the App Designer application of Matlab for the evaluation of insulation coordination and the calculation of the normalized insulation voltages and the minimum electrical distances taking into account the IEC regulations.
