The characterization, implementation and evaluation various domotic devices for the elderly population was proposed. With design of software, use of embedded systems and recovery of relevant data through the Internet connection, which provides low cost tools, facilitates the monitoring of data and favors decision making for the protection of the elderly, generating comfort and safety. During the development, the embedded systems were identified and characterized: Raspberry Pi, DragonBoard, and Pcduino, focusing on the internet of things. The different communication protocols used in home automation were reviewed, connectivity of sensors, actuators was made and data acquisition and supervision systems were implemented. finally, use and application statistics were generated, showing low error, which indicates that it is a stable system.
