In this project an optical transport system for the fronthaul segment in a 5G NR network is presented. That project is made using two main optical devices: PBS and AWG. The proposed architecture, which is implemented on Optisystem software, integrates an OFDM transmission technique with a 4QAM modulation scheme, which allows the distribution of different numerologies and service profiles. The proposed design shows the flexible and scalable treatment of the numerologies, as well as the quality of the transmitted signal through the BER and EVM indicators.
