This work presents an exploration and search of common elements between music and the components of social skills, in which contributions from psychology, music pedagogy, music therapy, anthropology and neurobiology are incorporated into themes related to social interaction and communication. The first chapter is divided into two parts. The first presents some definitions of "music" and its structural elements; the second part describes the "social skill", its components and situational dimensions. In the second chapter, the search for common elements and possible relationships between music, musical practice and social skills is developed. As a result of the work, some of the elements in which parallels between social ability and music can be evidenced are described.
