This paper presents a model based on systems dynamics for capacity planning using collaborative strategies in distribution centers of a logistics operator, which allows evaluating the performance of the system through financial indicators, resource utilization and growth in demand , showing the benefits not only for the logistics operator, but for all the members of the logistics networks, measured as the potential improvement in the logistics costs. The developed model is a contribution for the stakeholders in the administration and operation of value chains, to the extent that it provides relevant elements for tactical and strategic decision making, allowing the planning of resource capacities in the center of distribution, combined with the strategy at the infrastructure level, including warehouse height conditions and definition of lease contract times, as well as the consolidation of strategic alliances aimed at the evolution and growth of the business, as a result of greater competitiveness in the market.
