The research has been carried out in the Framework of the Master's Program in Education-Mathematics Education emphasis in the deepening modality of the Francisco José de Caldas District University. The objective of the present investigation was to evaluate the personal meanings of sixth grade students of the IED Germán Arciniegas J.T. from their textual expressions in a process of study directed on Direct Proportionality. Methodologically, theoretical elements expressed in Lurduy (2013) were used in relation to some common strategies of the Text Analysis Techniques.
