This paper establishes the use of the SDR and SDN paradigms as a basis for the implementation of a cognitive control system for radio parameters of a wireless telecommunication system. For this purpose, cooperative use is made of the aforementioned paradigms together with fuzzy systems and a Bayesian technique. It is proposed in order to have a synergic and fast convergence between technologies and system performance variables, e.g., transmission power and modulation. Thus offering a possible solution to the currently existing problems and/or issues in bandwidth management, QoS, energy efficiency, and so on in 5G communication networks.
