According to the field of knowledge of the master of artistic studies, this research project reflects about the tango as a dance as a prosaic symbolic expression which is source of sensitive knowledge; as a different way of knowing reality. The research is divided in four chapters. The first one is the literature review of the concepts of experience, body, sensitive knowledge and relational art. The second chapter is a contextualization of the tango as a dance in Medellín, based on the experience of the author with this practice in different environments. The third chapter describes the methodology as well as the analysis and interpretation of the collected data. The last chapter presents the practical and social importance of this research. The research presents this dance as a source of knowledge that stimulates the unifying sensitive quality of the body, as a mechanism that makes us extremely sensitive to our own realities, and those of the people around us, allowing us to transform them.
