In the current investigation, a walkthrough starting in the eighties into actuality is made through the pedagogical thoughts of Antanas Mockus Sivickas and Marco Raul Mejia, both whom have stood out at different historical moments as individuals of knowledge. Each of them has reflected on the problem of Colombian education looking to influence its political transformation and modernization. When one follows aspects related to their biographic environment and examines their pedagogical reflections through their essays, articles, books, and interviews, it ensues a breakthrough on pedagogical critic, and citizenship culture springing forth from the acknowledgement of the historicity of thought is these two intelectual figures.
