This research aims to publicize the current state of public policy for children and education in Bogotá, based on a documentary analysis of the public policy of children and adolescents in Bogotá 2011-2021 and district development plans 2012-2016 and 2016-2020 in its sections on education and childhood. The results of the research attempt to make visible what has been formulated through the analysis of the public policy cycle and its stages of implementation, formulation and evaluation. The methodological approach is qualitative, with a method of documentary analysis that allowed the construction of a new model of analysis to be applied to public policy documents, in relation to the policy development cycle and the categories of childhood and education. It also refers to the programs, plans and projects that have been implemented for children and education between 2012-2017.
