Through mathematization processes, the problem of monetary poverty is made visible in one of the most vulnerable sectors of commune IV of the municipality of Soacha: the community of El Barreno neighborhood. This was initially carried out through the collection of data from interviews with the inhabitants of the sector. The results obtained by analyzing these data by means of descriptive statistical processes and correlation of variables, with the support of computer software, allowed us to understand that there is a close relationship between per capita family income IPF with multiple factors such as: access to basic household services, level of education attained, type of work (formal or informal) and number of persons per household. It was also determined that, depending on the vulnerability condition variable (armed conflict or The IPF of both populations, those who have been victims and those who have not, is equally influenced by the vulnerability variable (armed conflict or displacement). Finally, the study made it possible to understand the phenomenon of poverty, establishing the necessary parameters for the construction of a mathematical model that makes it possible to determine under what scenarios a person does or does not manage to leave the poverty line.
