This research was carried out with the purpose of strengthening research skills in tenth grade students as a possibility of transforming the sense of science education at the school level, taking different positions against the notion of competencies and integrating them into the research activity using as a bridge the development of proposals in alternative energies; for this, a methodological structure called "Proyect´s verification and control oriented to the development of research competences" was designed and implemented, which allowed the categorization and observation of the transformation of students' competences into four groups: Design, Implementation, Validation and Restructuring, where specific actions focused on the development of proposals for electrical interconnection for non-interconnected areas using renewable energies.
