This article is the product of research on the current situation of the Blockchain in Latin America, particularly in Colombia. All this under the main focus that is its use in the Smart Contract. The objective of the research is to carry out a review and contextualization of the use of the Blockchain and mainly of the Smart Contract, thus covering relevant aspects such as the type of models used and the current legislation on the subject
