The present article is approached from the origins of light taking into account mythological, religious and technical conceptions and how this fact has accompanied the evolution of man and the development of his original customs, his first activities of knowledge. The domain of fire turns out to be the first act of cognition of man and became one of the first collective or ritual manifestations, the star was revered as his most valuable deity. This tradition through history was increasingly codified and developed with more complexity, allowing civilizations to create different arts but, it is theatrical art that invites us to make an approach in our inquiry, on the theme of the light of the text for the setting scene. This search intention allows to create a channel of communication in the relation of light - illumination and this as a visual detonator of the images created for the scene, this physical and technical result are part of the theatrical language for the creation of the image. As a result of this relationship, the affect to the psychological and emotional state of the actor and his relationship with the character, the environment, the atmosphere surrounding the scene and at the same time the image received and encoded by the spectator just at the moment of the presentation of the work as a visual effect.
