From our work as researchers we have noticed that teachers, for example, (from a socio-political approach to Math Education), have developped several speeches based on the needs of today's society and how the conception of mathematics education has become more complex; however, this perspective is not visible within the mathematics practices that are currently taking place in the classrooms of Colombia, and this is what encourages us to find the reasons to explain why this happens. Therefore, in this document we show what happens to a teacher who tries to generate a research scenario from that approach, which stress s/he has to deal with. In order to theorize later, as mathematics educators that are apt for social and political approach, we are aware of its existence, to make them point of criticism and transformation in our teaching and researching job. In search of a resonance between the theoretical, methodological and practical, we use critical research speeches as a methodological framework and narrative to highlight subjectivity; we also want to claim the subjectivity of the teacher and the researcher, and the others characters involved in this process.
