This document seeks to evaluate three (3) environmental compensation mechanisms of the biotic component that are developed in Colombia, among which are 1) Habitat Banks, 2) Peace Forests and 3) Direct Compensations, for which proposes to develop strategic lines that contribute to the improvement of its implementation. The evaluation was approached from a diagnosis represented in the structuring of a DOFA matrix, for which experts participated who allowed consolidating the Weaknesses, Opportunities, Strengths and Threats of each of the mechanisms; Once the weaknesses and threats were obtained, a prioritization of problems was advanced through a structural analysis matrix, the above, in order to identify the most incident problems in each of the mechanisms. For the prioritized problems, a project proposal was developed based on a logical framework design, which are intended to contribute to the solution of the identified problems. Product of the application of the methodology, in the interviews carried out, the weaknesses, opportunities, strengths and threats for each mechanism are obtained. The results obtained in the prioritization of problems yielded a total of twelve (12) problems, in which the technical and social dimensions stand out as those that present the greatest obstacles in the adequate implementation of the three (3) compensation mechanisms evaluated in the present work. For the three (3) prioritized problems resulting from the structural matrix, the projects of "Strategy for promotion and dissemination of mechanisms for the implementation of compensations in Colombia", "Cartographic adjustment of biotic components, abiotic and socioeconomic for each of the Regional Autonomous Corporations (CAR)” and “Provision of professional and support services for the training and formation of communities in compensations of the biotic environment and biodiversity”.
