From the Plant Ecology and Conservation Research Group in Colombia (GIECPC), an internal internship was developed for 1 year in the secondary forest of the “La Franja” farm located in the Viancito village of the municipality of Vianí, department of Cundinamarca with the objective of investigating and also making known the fungal diversity of the place, contributing to the knowledge of the biological group at the municipal, departmental and national level. The internship began in April 2023 and ended in the same month of 2024 with monthly visits for a total of 12 visits. The specific exercise in the field consisted of establishing permanent plots, making photographic records of the samples of lignicolous fungi that fructified within said plots, taking measurements with a ruler, filling out a field form with the characteristics of the organisms, sporeing and collecting samples. This work is within the framework of a macroproject called Species Diversity in Vianí – Cundinamarca, consequently, it was done together with three more students who evaluated macrofungi in the permanent plots, but who studied the rest of the substrates not named here. The products of the internship were an Excel database with the information collected, the photographic record, a quick field guide on the lignicolous macro fungi found in the secondary forest and a workshop aimed at basic and secondary education students.
