This arises from the need to study and characterize solar radiation in different regions of the country and from there, establish the distribution and solar energy capacity in different sectors, taking into account their geographical position and meteorological conditions. For this reason, data is managed from the entity of environmental and meteorological studies (IDEAM) which correspond to global solar radiation is managed, with these the daily, monthly and annual average was estimated and analyzed, in order to adjust theoretical models. In this particular case the expression of Meinel and Meinel, which was compared with the behavior of radiation over a day, observing that they were not contrasted directly and which gives rise to continue in the search for models that allow processing radiation in this region of the country.
