This paper explores, from a bibliographic collection of primary and secondary sources, about the constituent elements present in the process of professionalization of teachers and their relation with the biological discourse in a general way. Then, it centers the analysis on the pedagogical and epistemological perspectives regarding teacher training that have been present in the constitution of the Degree in Biology of the Faculty of Sciences and Education of the District University through its history.
