At present, apart from the legislation that regulates chemical risk, there are many tools (guides, standards, methods, etc.) to carry out an adequate preventive activity against chemical agents, but to guarantee the success of risk control it is essential to keep order and a systematic process that guarantees that no aspect is left without consideration. The Epidemiological Surveillance of Health at Work (VE-ST) is the process that provides this guarantee. For these reasons, it was necessary to generate a proposal for the epidemiological surveillance program to guide the actions of prevention and control of diseases associated with exposure. of chemical substances. For this, the degree work was developed in four phases, the first three diagnoses, which included an evaluation of the chemical risk and an analysis of the absenteeism for health and a fourth phase directed to elaborate the proposal of a program of epidemiological surveillance of the health of the workers of the mentioned areas.
