This research analyses the public policy of childhood of Sibaté Town. Through the Discours Critical Analysis one investigates the lexical categories to demonstrate the social imaginaries of childhood implied in the public policy, and to determine the impact in the way public employees act with this social group. In addition, the reasearch evinces structural aspects within the document, that shows a weak structure of it. All this, with the aim of contributing to the historical construction of the concept of childhood in the continent, and to contribute to the improvement of the public policies in the town.
