In this document, it is proposed to strengthen the environmental education in the planning of the Territorial Strategic Plan (PET), with the purpose of contributing to the local development of the commune 1 of Soacha. To give scope to this proposal, it is described in the first instance the environmental education actions related in the PET (2012-2018) and in the different planning instruments. The relationship between the different types of actions described above is then analyzed, in order to interpret the dimensionality of these actions and their possible impact on local development; finally, a proposal to strengthen environmental education within the PET is reached. Be part of a problem, this being a weak environmental education presumed by the low inclusion of environmental education actions in community planning and ecological-environmental indifference, appreciated through the conditions of deterioration of wetlands, presence of waste in spaces public, harmful habits and in general negative impacts on environmental factors.
