The present project “Design of a model and system that allows to determine the assurance or the information under the standard ISO 27000 in the financial companies” has like purpose initially to analyze the present state of the security of the information for financial organizations, this analysis leaves from how the financial system is conformed in Colombia, later a summary of the present situation of the security of the information in financial companies and the norm 27001 is given, finally a case study of a financial company is taken like example where the company is shown at the moment and as this its security of the information. Leter on, it is identified which objectives of the 27002 standard apply to a financial entity. Due to the sensitive information and taking into account that information is the greatest asset of a company, it was possible to verify that all the objectives of the ISO 27002 standard apply to financial entities.
