This research addresses the crucial issue of land access and tenure, highlighting its importance for sustainable development and gender equity in Colombia and Latin America. It compiles project and research proposals that address the gender gap in access to land, focusing on the municipality of Fusagasugá. This research includes the development of an algorithm for automatic gender assignment in SICAN and a detailed analysis of the relationship of rural women with land ownership in specific veredas. The purpose of the research is to identify the legal and cultural obstacles that affect women's property rights, using the analysis of cadastral data, GIS and surveys. It highlights the objective of contributing to sustainable development and equity in rural communities, especially in Fusagasugá, while strengthening the role of women as political and economic agents. The research aims to inform and support the formulation of future specific public policies to promote gender equity in land tenure and foster progress in Colombia.
