Guarea kunthiana A. Juss. It's distributed in a large part of the Colombian territory because it can be found from 400 to 2900 meters above sea level. This species is usually representative in some ecosystems due to its abundance and dominance. In addition is very important in succession processes and is associated with dispersal fauna in the region, the objective of this research is to evaluate the germination of the species Guarea kunthiana A. Juss. and identify seed sources for restoration processes, in this work the pregerminative treatments and the size of the seeds of Guarea kunthiana A. Juss were evaluated. by means of the germination percentage and the germination speed for these variables.
