Apoyo en la actualización y mantenimiento de la información geográfica generada por la Subdirección de Control Ambiental al Sector Público para el Visor Geográfico Ambiental de la Secretaría Distrital de Ambiente
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are a set of tools that allow the generation of geographic reports as a support in planning decision making around the territory, that is why the District Secretariat of Environment as environmental authority of the Capital District, implements these instruments as a means to identify the environmental and structural problems of the city and for which the entity has the provision of various geographic services both internally and externally that support the attention of requirements related to the environmental development of the capital. Among the aforementioned services is the Environmental Geographic Viewer as a GIS tool that makes available to different actors the environmental information which is mission of the Secretariat. Based on the above, it is essential to support the activities of providing geographic services for the Subdirectorate of Environmental Control to the public sector, firstly for the maintenance and updating of the information offered by the viewer, through phases such as its compilation and standardization, and secondly as support for the attention of requirements made by professionals of the entity for the respective processes of evaluation, control and monitoring through the development of cartography under the guidelines of Decree 555 of 2021. As a result, two layers corresponding to the soil quality group were updated for subsequent publication in the Environmental Geographic Viewer, as well as various cartographic products to complement the development of technical concepts and reports.
