Throughout the history of Colombia, traditional music has had a great importance in the socio-cultural development of the country and each region had different ways of expressing itself culturally. That is why bullerengue and other musical genres have been a means by which people from different regions talked about their daily lives and have a space to share with their community and interact. The violence and war that the country has experienced had a great impact on the lives of many people, especially for peasants and farmers who live in rural areas of the country. This problem has led people to manifest themselves in an atypical way and change their communication habits among their social circle, to the point that their cultural practices are affected. Though this document, it will be reflected how the internal war of the country has changed the way in which people express their musical practices, especially the bullerengue.
