Final thesis report that discloses the design process of a pedagogical and didactic proposal, expressed in a Technological School Activity –ATE- (Spanish acronym for Actividad Tecnológica Escolar) using the construction of a catapulting prototype, for the learning of Middle Ages History in seventh graders students. Consideration and analysis of the related background of ATE production, its performing and its implementation in the learning of social sciences. The result of this analysis allowed formulating the proposal, that is based on the theoretical references such as: technology Education, constructionism, ATE design, analysis through construction, CTS Perspective. The proposal is generated, taking into account the needs and interests of students, as well as the objectives established for the social sciences subject. It builds on the ideas of teachers Antonio Quintana and Nelson Otálora for the ATE development. Later conclusions related to the process and the respective issues are annexed.
