Bogota is a city in Colombia with a population of 8.8 million people and has the highest concentration of public transportation in Latin America, with a rate of over 100%. The Integrated Sustainable Mobility Plan for implementation in the city of Bogota was launched in 2019 and aims to provide all citizens with a healthy and sustainable environment, as well as reduce air pollution by a remarkable percentage by 2035 through sustainable mobility measures such as more bus lanes, bicycle lanes and pedestrian zones. A PIMS is a solution to the problem of how private business characterization can support the environment by creating an overall strategy that can address all aspects of transportation; this includes the development of public transport, as well as the introduction of new technologies and innovations to improve traffic management and reduce emissions.
