This research work addresses a fundamental issue in the educational field: the relevance and recognition of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education/Childhood Pedagogy program in different contexts. As is known, initial education is a crucial level for the development of children, since it contributes to their socialization, cognitive, affective, psychomotor development and more. For this reason, it is vitally important that professionals working in this field are well trained and have the appropriate skills to meet the needs of the little ones. This work focuses on analyzing the academic offer of different universities at the local, national and regional level that offer the Bachelor's program in Early Childhood Education. To do this, we use qualitative approaches that allow us to identify both strengths and weaknesses of the program, in relation to the pedagogical, psychological, didactic and ethical competencies that are necessary to train competent teachers in working with early childhood. In addition, it will focus on taking a look at the coherence between the theoretical content taught and the reality of pedagogical practice. In this way, we will seek to highlight possible shortcomings and differences with respect to other early childhood education programs offered by different universities.
