The purpose of the research is the development of mathematical thinking and the universal design of Learning (DUA), in children from 7 to 9 years in the Hogares Club Michín Foundation and in this way conceptualize the preconceived ideas that tends to demerit mathematics. To do this, a search and review of various articles, books, theses that guide the work in the educational process. In order to achieve the objective, a workshop proposal was based on a constructivist approach, which allowed the subjects to be constructors of their knowledge and what will be worked on them, making a critical and reflexive process that would strengthen their mathematical abilities. The achievements were favorable, since they were advanced in concepts that were difficult for them, thus began to take a new look at mathematics, which generated progress in their processes, having as premise that playing also learn and their teaching-learning processes are more significant if they are part of their needs, removing barriers and generating different alternatives for work, not a single method to teach.
