Una secuencia didáctica basada en audiolibros para la transformación de la habilidad de escucha del inglés en el grado octavo de la Institución Educativa Departamental General Santander de Sibaté – Cundinamarca
This research seeks to understand the students' transformations of listening competence by implementing audiobooks in a didactic sequence with eighth-grade high school students, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and grids are used and analyzed to carry out this study. In English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms within Colombian educational scenarios, information communication and technology (ICT) have been included in education, and listening competence has been narrowly addressed. The students who work with audiobooks show a better comprehension of listening to English as a foreign language, they establish relations among pronunciation, intonation, phrases in a context, vocabulary, and some grammar aspects. Finally, suggestions for using them, according to their educational contexts, increase the relevance of the resources to improve listening competence.
