The first teratological case in the visceral leishmaniasis vector Lutzomyiaevansi, is described and illustrated from one female specimen collected in a peri urban area of the municipality of Sincelejo, department of Sucre, Colombia. The anomalous specimen presented a bifurcation at the base of a sperma the cae, wich originated a third undeveloped sperma the cae. The observed frequency of this anomaly in the sand fly population was 1:311.
