The work presented here constitutes the results of the biodigestor construction research to estimate energy potential from bovinaza, “Las Delicias” farm, Santa Barbara village, Íquira-Huila, which aimed to demonstrate the usefulness of the bovinaza, livestock production waste, for electric power generation, in a medium-scale productive unit. With this research it was found that in a cattle herd the bovinaza, also represents an input that can contribute to lower production costs and improve the quality of life, both from the ecological point of view by eliminating an organic waste, as desired social point of view, by improving the quality of life and comprehensively for the improvement of the environment in the rural area, where this activity is the most important.
