Evaluación de algunos residuos orgánicos como sustrato para el cultivo de hongos comestibles

Abstract:

Introduction: Edible mushrooms have an excellent nutritional content; they have all of the essential amino acids, unsaturated fat acids, sugar, vitamins and fiber, and a wide variety of compounds that act against some human diseases. Objective: To evaluate garden remains as a substract to produce two types of the Pleotorus fungus, Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus pulmonarius and standarize the seed production. Materials and methods: Two different formules of kikuyo lawn were prepared, forage peanut, bean pod and cotton rind. They were planted in the treatments, with 4 repetitions each, Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus pulmonarius. The mushrooms were cut when they were mature and they were finally weighed to obtain the results of the experiment. Results: The best substract to cultivate this kind of mushrooms is that with a higher percentage of lignocellulose remains. Conclusion: The raw materials used are viable to produce both kinds of edible funguses in scale.
