It is essential to take advantage of tools and technological advances that are made available over the years in order to streamline, facilitate and optimize different tasks and their respective times. That being said, the numerous benefits provided by drones are countless. In the engineering field, there are many uses that drone can be put to. In this work, photogrammetric mapping was carried out using drones and its subsequent processing, which provided detailed information about the data, allowing for the geometric properties of various surfaces to be determined based on the information obtained from images. This was achieved by combining photogrammetry with drones and the processing of the data in different software with the purpose of calculating the quantities of materials. All of this was obtained through the use of Pix4D Capture application, Agisoft MetaShape Pro, Autodesk ReCap, Autodesk Revit software, and Excel tools, respectively. From all the work that was done, it was evident that the methodology applied with drones minimizes the time employed and improves the quantification of measurements, since the majority of measurements are taken, including those that are difficult to access. Considering that the research was conducted on 3-story buildings, measuring facades conventionally is not so complex, but it can be tedious and time-consuming since there were several buildings. If there were projects of greater magnitude and complexity, this methodology would be of great use.
